Writing Instruments.
I make a variety of fine writing instruments: ballpoint, rollerball and fountain pens, and mechanical pencils. I especially like to make faceted body pens and pencils. This type of pen has flat faces that enhance the beauty of the wood and keep your pen from rolling off your desk.

Desert ironwood is a specialty of mine. The wood exhibits such a wide range and mixture of black, brown and orange. The resulting pen becomes a striking objects in the hand of the writer.

Features of the pens I create:
- Branded. Each pen I create carries my brand. I literally burn my logo into the pen just below the finial and to the right of the clip.
- Hand-selected wood. I select each piece of wood for its quality and appearance.
- Matched grain. Most of the pens I create from a single piece of wood. In these cases, I assemble the pen such that the grain of the upper body aligns with the grain of the lower body.
- Lacquer finish. Lacquer has been used as a wood finish for centuries because it is resistant to body oils and acids. Fine musical instruments use lacquer for their finish. Lacquer is a repairable finish, too.
- High quality hardware. I use only the highest quality hardware in the pens I create.
- Standard refills. The ballpoint pens pens I create use either a standard Cross or Parker refill. The fountain pens and rollerball pens take a standard ink cartridge. Refills for my pens available at any office supply store, or I can supply them.

10/29/2008. Fall season is now in full swing. Here’s hoping that economy can support a good season for me. So far the shows have been good, with one exception. The remaining shows are high caliber so I expect to finish off the year on a high note.
