Honduran Rosewood Burl Rollerball
Logging of rosewood has been banned for years because of over harvesting but recently governments such as Belize have allowed loggers to harvest the stumps - and that’s where the eye candy is.

These bowls came from a tree that grew in Cave Creek. It was a very unusual piece that was hollow, which limited the height of the bowls, and severely cracked. The surface of the trunk was very contorted which resulted in the “cauliflower” edge of the bowls. The light sapwood contrasts nicely with the chocolate brown heartwood. The large bowl is about 7 inches tall and 7 inches in diameter.
