Who Am I?

I am a woodturning artisan creating functional art for your desk, your kitchen, and anyplace else.

I create

• Custom made Fine writing instruments like fountain pens, ballpoint and rollerball pens, and mechanical pencils
• Desk accessories, such as letter openers, paper clip caddies, business card holders
• Kitchen accessories such as wine stoppers, salt cellars and garlic keepers
• Natural edge Bowls
• Lidded boxes
• Cremation urns

I use natural materials, such as

• Woods from the Sonoran Desert: desert ironwood, mesquite, palo verde
• Woods of all colors from all over the world
• Mammoth ivory
• Antler
• Palm nuts, Betel nuts
• Feathers
• Snake skins
• Precious metals
• Semiprecious stones: lapis lazuli, malachite, turquoise

I sign all the pieces I create. Smaller objects like pens, I apply my brand by literally burning it into the wood. All the items I create are easily personalized by laser engraving. Please contact me directly to obtain a quote.

I created a series of finial boxes. This one is a hollowed mesquite burl with an ebonized mesquite finial. Measures 10 in. dia x 11.5 in. high.
